Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some of the most common questions we get asked and some easy to understand answers for your quick reference. Please feel free to contact us directly if you have any other questions that are not listed here.

Can Noble Foods just produce a few thousand bars for me?

Unfortunately, we can't produce smaller runs than our minimum run requirements. We're just too busy to do that. It is our pleasure to refer callers looking for smaller runs to other smaller manufacturers.

Can you just produce the same bars that you're making for someone else and put my wrappers on them?

Every bar that we design and/or manufacture is done so specifically for that unique customer. It is our policy not to manufacture the same bar for more than one customer.

Is it a problem having the bars manufactured in Canada and then shipped to the United States?

All of our products fall under the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). They are not subject to any tariffs or duties upon entry into the United States. Noble Foods will also handle all of the paperwork in order to ensure a clean and efficient crossing of the border. In fact, the only difference between manufacturing a bar in Montreal, Canada and upstate New York is that the bars require the phrase "Made in Canada" on them as per US Customs regulations.

How long does it take to get products from concept to actual production?

The typical time from initial phone call to actual production is between 4-6 months, depending on how quickly the customer would like to move.

Who owns the actual formulas once they get designed by Noble Foods?

The customer owns the formulas. The fact is that we would rather customers stay with us because we're offering outstanding service and NOT because we are handcuffing them to us through the ownership of the formulas.

What is the typical shelf life of a bar?

All bars are very different, however, the typical shelf life for most bars is 12 months.

Are you certified Gluten Free?

Noble Foods is not certified gluten free although we have been manufacturing bars for some of the largest gluten free brands for over a decade. We rely on a very strict allergen control program and finished product testing in order to put our customer’s minds at ease.

Are you certified GMO Free?

We are not certified GMO free but we can produce bars that do not contain any ingredients that are from GM sources.

How much do your bars cost?

It completely depends on the ingredients that are in the bars. Once a formula has been established, either by the customer or by Noble Foods, we can give you an exact quote for your bars. Pricing can vary wildly, depending on the nutritional requirements, the dietary restrictions, and the quality/nature of the ingredients.

Who buys all of the ingredients?

Noble Foods will be responsible for buying all of the ingredients. If there are certain proprietary ingredients that need to be sourced, we will take care of it. If there are certain ingredients that need to be supplied by the customer that is not a problem either. The only requirement that we have is that every ingredient that comes into our facility needs to be certified kosher.

What if I have my own formulas…

We would be happy to quote you on any existing formula. This is something that we do quite often.

What if I have some specialty or proprietary…

If there are certain proprietary ingredients that need to be sourced, we will take care of it. If there are certain ingredients that need to be supplied by the customer that is not a problem either. The only requirement that we have is that every ingredient that comes into our facility needs to be certified kosher.
